My friends, family and faith have pulled me through my battles with cancer. Friends Mary Thompson (who cooked an elaborate feast), Rhonda Bailey, and Lisa Kellams painted me up like a warrior and adorned me with balloons at a survival dinner after I finished my last rounds of chemo. It was a dinner shared with over 20 close friends that gathered that night at my home in Calabash that filled me with love, warmth, and a drive to survive. |
