The 2004 Music For Life concert series performers stopping for a quick group photo outside the Flipside Bar & Acoustic Stage before getting ready for the show. The Flipside was the last stop in the series and all the performers were tired but still put on a great closing concert for the packed house that night. Pictured are Laura McLean and Steve Wolfe in the back. Front row is Allison Tartalia, Vicki Blankenship, Lisa Wilson, Danielle Miraglia, and Patti Witten. Although Laura McLean is an Indiegrrl she was not billed as a performer in the event, but being the good friend that she is to Vicki, Laura was the Emcee for the Level 5 at City Stage Wilmington event and for the Flipside event in Clayton and helped with sound at all of the events. She was enticed to join Vicki's band at the end of the night for some jams that pleased the crowd. Lisa Wilson is the talented drummer in Vicki's band and Steve Wolfe was an honorary Indiegrrl for the Music For Life series as the bass player in Vicki's band. Steve was the jack of all trades helping with stage set up and break down and soundman through the whole series. You name it, he did it. He wore many hats but loved being around all the ladies. |
